This guy has 2 different caps, a smaller one that fits jeep,astro van and s10 boxes and a larger one that fits gm fullsize boxes. Then I just removed and tapped the top cap myself. jkwoffroad.com/offroadproducts.php

I was thinking of grabbing another steering box from the wrecking yard for a spare. Drilling & tapping the steering box is a PIA, I like the cap idea. What shifter did you use for your 700R4? Did you do anything to your transmission befroe you installed it. I found a trans. I need to install a new output shaft in it.

That might not be a bad idea to have an extra steering box, might do that myself. I used the stock steering column to shift my 700r4 and I didn't do anything to it beside reseal it before I put it in.

Got the rockers cut out and some pipe welded in for sliders, still need to tie them back to the frame. Thanks for the help Buzzer. Before Rocker cut out Slider welded in Driver's side
