The fab shop at my work cut out my frame plates for me the other day. I asked for 3/16" thick but they had some scrap 1/4" plate they used instead. Got them prepped and got one fully welded on and ran out of gas for my welder. I was hoping to get more done today but this took a lot longer than I had planned. Running out of gas didnt help either.

That looks really good, the front half of your frame shouldn't fall off now!

Yea lets hope not! I wish my welds were a little more consistant... Got gas for the welder yesterday, going to try and get the inner frame plates burned in tonight.

Spent most of today out in the garage. Got the rest of the frame plates welded on, took a little while longer than I planned.

After that, got the front spring hanger crossmember mocked up And then fully welded it on. Now Im ready to mock up the drivetrain. Got some new bushing mounts from Poly Performance for the engine, trans, and the transfer cases. Im shooting for a flat belly, I think I can pull it off. Still need to make a new winch plate and a new mount for the grill and radiator. After I get the drivetrain in Ill figure out where my shackle hangers will go. Its starting to come togeather, slow but steady.

Spring hanger was from Sky Manufacturing. Im sure I could have made one but this was around $100 and really nice. Figured it was worth the time it saved me.

Better box in the bottom of that front spring hanger.

Better box in the bottom of that front spring hanger. I was already thinking of adding some gussets to the inside but boxing it in is a good idea too.

Spartan Locker installed Then I found out that my front axle has 3.73 gears instead of 4.10s. Oh well, found a used set on Craigslist for $50 so I got them. And got a new install kit complete with shims, axle seals, and set up bearings for $135. Had to go to Salem but worth the drive. Now I just need new knuckles and hi steer arms and the front is done!
