Would you guys recommend 6"clr or 7"clr and is it really necessary to get a 240 deg. die??? Where have you found the cheapest dies, looking for a 1 3/4" 180 or 240, 6 or 7 clr? I found a 240 deg @ rockbuggysupply for $277.

definately get the 240. and the protools dies are the cheapest. you probably want the 6" clr. it allows you to make tighter bends to match bodywork and also you can bend smaller pieces. its also the most common. i would reccomend the 1 3/4", 240*, 6" radius.

Got my bender 95% finished, just need to throw a coat of paint on it and get a few bolts and she'll be ready to work. The die set is on order and will be here on Tuesday, then I can bend some stuff. And here's a video good-times.webshots.com/video/3029944050053899211YqGFTCExpand

The ram is an 8 ton air over hydraulic unit from harbor freight, kinda slow but beats having to do it manually. Should get the die tomorrow so I can find out how it actually works.
