Well after pulling apart my rear axle I have discovered I need a new ring and pinion. The carrier bearing pre-load seems to have loosened up and I chipped the ring gear in a few places...
Anyways, what brand of gears are you guys running? I had Yukon in there before, but just kinda wondering what else is out there.

I would stay with the yukon gears. Get ahold of Greg at 4wd factory, he'll hook you up.

I have Genuine from 4WheelParts, they have a lifetime warrenty. They already replaced them once, same thing couple teeth were chipped but that was before the armor and the housing got pushed into the ring gear it looked like.

I dont think I set up mine right, it was the first dana 44 I have done. I bought mine thru Randys Ring & Pinion, I don't know what kind of warrenty they have or if this would be covered.

Really opened up a big can o' worms didn't you?? There are some Yukon install kits in my garage, I think they are for a 44, something Gary had going, just sitting around gathering dust.

Thats not all eather! I still need to tear the front end the rest of the way apart. My rear axles are shot too, the splines twisted on both sides but didnt break the shafts. So now I need shafts too

Not a bad idea, then if you go full width, no wheel spacers.

I dont have the money to build new axles, hell I dont have the money to fix the crap I have! Sadly Dana 60s are not going to happen anytime soon, were saving money for a house. Plus I dont want to run full width. Those axles held up for 3 years of abuse, thats not too bad.
