Hi, My name's Ken. I'm new to the site and thought I would post up a little info. At 47 years, I'm probably considered an old fart compared to most of the members here. I have been wheeling and riding for quite a few years. My latest rig is a 1969 Jeepster Commando. I have been building and beating on this thing for the last 8 or so years. It is currently running a 4.3 tbi v6, T-18, Dana 300. I have a SF Dana 60 in the rear and am in the process of upgrading from a Dana 44 to a kingpin 60 into the front. Both running detroit lockers. The wife and I are currently living in CA (stop the hissing please) We are both small town people living in the big city because of my job. We need to get back to a slower paced life and am tired of the California BS. So We will be looking for a home this coming year. Not sure where we will be moving to. Jobs will be the main decision. Well, I have been rambling long enough for now. Thanks, Ken

Welcome!! Don't see too many commandos around here, let's see some pics! You may be older than most members, but there are a couple of us that have been around a day or two.

Where in Cali do you usually wheel? Where are the tires?

Where in Cali do you usually wheel? Where are the tires? Most of our Wheeling trips are up in the Sierra's. Ran the Rubicon in late September. Snapped a front axle shaft on that run and decided to go bigger so the 44 is coming out and the 60 is slowly being built. Seems like money and time are both hard to find these days The tires are at Hollister Hills off road park. I had just finished some upgrades and was testing everything out. I am pretty close to there so it is convenient to go to. I think someone from Pirate4X4 suggested this site to me.
