for a long time I have been using this CB in my blazer..... wanted a regular CB, the only thing good about the one I had was it was easy to hide in the glovebox.....a friend of mine gave me 3 CBs..... one didnt work, so I tossed it ........here is the other 2 I got from him the one on the left is a cobra 25 LTD classic and the other one is a uniden trucker ptc104...... after some testing I found the cobra to be the better of the 2..... the uniden had some burned out LEDs in the channel display, the cobra had exposed wires on the mike , so I put the mike from the uniden on the cobra and ended up using that one.... didnt get a mounting bracket with any of the cb's either so I had to fab one myself I decided the roof was the best place where it would not be in the way of shifters, legs, gauges etc etc...... this is what I did with the wires

up to this point I only had 2 bolts per side holding my front bumper on, today I marked the bumper to drill 2 holes to match up with the factory holes in the top of the frame, took the bumper off and drilled the holes..... then I remounted it with 3 bolts per side......... I also mounted and painted the mudflap mounts I got from jonny tsunami... here is how they will look mounted after I get some bolts and drill some more holes to mount them

took the dash apart again today to clean up wiring....... I took out the factory speaker wires and the antenna cable, plus I shortened some wires and routed some wires better and made it all look better.... here is the pile I ended up with

scored some aluminum sheeting....covered the big holes in the doors....painted it to match the rest of the door had to cut a notch on the pass side to clear the handle picked up a 20 cal ammo can from bajaboy and mounted it in the back for tools and spare parts also scored some expanded metal.... not as heavy as I wanted to use, but it was free....... so I will use it to make my grille.... one piece is cut to the size I need for the grille plus I have another big piece if I decide to cover the headlights too.... plus I have some other sheets of aluminum to make some brackets with.... here the grille piece in mock up
