if your getting 8 bolt you have more options for designs when and if you do rock rings(rim stiffeners) because you have more room to play with. I have 12 bolts and kinda wish I had 8 bolts only because it takes a long time to tighten all those nuts, 8s are fine but there might be more warping between each bolt if you do not tighten them correctly.

what run flats do you have in them? mags? those are easy to install and you should cut them down so you can run low psi without f'n your tires up, I have pvc inserts and there kinda a bitch. I did the star pattern on my 12 bolts, seemed to work fine, basically you want to tighten them down evenly.

I through one of mine together and it leaked out of the o-ring, the o-ring was in good shape but I think putting some o-ring lube on it would help, what do you think?

actually you have to clean the o-rings really well, and make sure you push them all the way down. i just get them wet and clean them and then install them wet. where the o-rings are is different on the 8-12 bolts, they seal different. i have 8-bolt and love them. uh.....just go for really tight. make sure you tighten them evenly!
