Hmm.. Well I know it hasn't been a year since I messed it up on the Rubicon, but it was so much fun.. I had to do it again. This time however both Tyler and I are sore from a quick stop at the end of the second brakage..

Well if anyone sees a cheap Ford dana 60 front end. Please let me know.
If I go this route I will also need 8 lug tires and wheels. Ugh. Lots of $$ for a jeep that is a stick and needs the motor rebuilt.

I will keep my eyes open for a Ford D-60. Ever considered a rubicon D-44? I can get a Rubicon 44 pretty cheap ($400 housing only), but have had hurd and seen alot of bad brakes from them. When we were on the rubicon, a stock Rubicon jeep had his 44 broke on the first slab. With the V-8 and big tires. I don't think a rubicon 44 will hold up for what I want to be doing.

Yea, you are right, it probably wouldn't hold up unless you spent a lot of money on upgrades. I didn't realize there is a V8 in your j**p.

LOL.. Hmmm... I think I need my own page :-)..
2 of the 3 postings have expired linkes. I do see the $1200 for matching front and rear, but that still is kinda steep.
I've been thinking about that Rubicon Dana 44. It looks like for $1800-$2000 I could have it totaly built and I would not need to change out my wheels exec. But for that money, I could get the Dana 60 put in, not built with lockers exec, but drivable.

Well I picked up an complete dana 30 front end tonight, so I should have most everything I need to put it back together again. I will end up with a complete set of spare axle shafts ready to go once I get done.. It looks like I will need them...
