I had some medical issues in oct, had a seizure and aspirated the contents of my stomach into my lungs and almost died..... spent a week in the hospital, 4 days in the ICU in a coma....been slowly recovering ever since......blazer has been on the back burner since then......I did design a rear bumper to do this summer hopefully.... and I also mocked up an ammo can console hope to be able to start wrenching on the blazer soon

I felt well enough yesterday to do some work on the blazer..... I got the ammo cans mounted as a console, looks the same as the pic I posted above..... I also dug these out from a past project(90 bronco) that didnt work out( too many mechanical issues) did some mock up and mounted the licence plate for a bumper i think i am gonna cut down this bumper I have to just a center section (financially challenged at the moment) was gonna finish up the tow hooks today and start on the bumper , but that got delayed on account of rain

cut the truck bumper down to a center section did some mock up made some brackets from the other parts of the bumper.... the ends were pretty rough and left off with the brackets mounted to the bumper...... will finish the rest in a few days

I had to bend the top of the plate a bit so it wouldnt hit on the tailgate when you open it.....still need to get some mudflaps though, so I dont get harassed by the cops

think I found some mudflaps at NAPA for $10 each...... they are 1/4" thick and 24" long... forgot to ask how wide they were....I will just cut them down to what I need...... saw some that were 12" wide by 18" long at another parts store but they were like $30 for the pair....hope to pick them up when I get my tax returns

decided my first aid kit should be accessible , so i am gonna mount the ammo can my first aid kit is in to the RR fenderwell....... tried between the b pillar and the wheelwell and there wasnt enough room hoping doing this and the ammo can console will free up enough room in my actionpacker in the back to put my toolkit in there

That's the narrowest bumper I've seen. Good to have the first aid kit where you can find it, let's hope you don't have to use it!!

this is where the idea came from for the bumper....... already had the bumper laying around, cost me nothing to build..... might build more on it at a later date.....I had been keeping my first aid kit in the actionpacker way in the back of the blazer.....figured it is better to have it more accessible in the event I ever need it

Mine is a portable kit in a bag, sometimes gets lost bouncing around in the cruiser since I had to remove my storage console for trans. & t case shifters. Need to keep better track of that thing. Like the ammo box idea, I have 2 of them under the drivers seat with tools, & minor spare parts. Not a lot of room in the 40 for all of the extra sh*t I want to carry.
